It pours a deep, opaque orange with a tight, creamy head. The aroma is densely packed with sweet tropical fruit, completely masking any underlying alcohol heat. On the taste, a larger amount of grain provides a substantial, chewy texture that successfully rounds off the massive hop additions, preventing any harsh bitterness. It drinks very smooth for an 8.5% beer, leaving a long, fruit-forward impression that is packed with flavor but stops just short of becoming overly heavy.
